LaurenLauren’s Guide to Ordering and Artwork

Your Quote

When making enquiries it is helpful if you can let us know:

  • The date that your items are required
  • Your budget per item
  • How many colours in your artwork (or ideally send us a visual)
  • How many positions you want the logo printed
  • Brief of your project – who are your items being given/sold to?
  • Quantity required
  • Product colour preference

Please note:

  1. All lead times quoted are from your approval of the artwork visual that we send with your order confirmation.
  2. There will usually be an origination charge* for each colour in your artwork and each position that it is printed in.
  3. Prices do not include VAT.

Ordering

Once you are ready to place your order please forward the details in writing to sales@shoutpm.co.uk including your purchase order number if necessary. Please remember to attach your artwork to the order with instructions detailing the size and position that you would like the branding to be. If this is your first order with us we will also need payment in advance.

On receipt of your order we will send you an order confirmation followed by a visual showing your artwork on the item that you have ordered. This must be thoroughly checked and approved by you before we proceed with branding your item. You will then be informed of the delivery date for your items. The lead time is calculated from the final date of artwork approval.

Artwork

To ensure that we can process your order quickly please note the following:

  • Artwork should be supplied as an amendable eps file or high resolution pdf
  • We can re-draw artwork if required
  • We may need to see your artwork before we can send you a quote
  • We will need a pantone reference* for the colours in your logo
  • There will usually be an origination charge* for each colour in your artwork and each position that it is printed in

Frequently Asked Questions

I have ordered several items but they are all from Shout, why must I pay a separate delivery charge for every item?

Our goods are branded by many different specialists. If you order several different items they will usually be branded separately which mean that there will be a separate delivery charge for each batch of items ordered. For example, your t-shirts may be printed by our screen printer in London but your pens may be engraved by our specialist engravers in Hertfordshire.

What is an origination charge?

When we brand an item there is usually a cost involved in reproducing your artwork and transferring it onto the item. Here are a few examples of what an origination charge covers:
Screen printing – a screen is made for each colour in your artwork and the screen is used to print each colour separately. Therefore if your logo has 3 colours, there will be 3 screen charges.
Embroidery – a computer disc will map your logo and reproduce it as a piece of artwork that can be stitched. This interpretation instructs the machine where to place each stitch.
Embossing – an embossing die is usually hand made from wood and metal and is a stamp which impresses your logo into something.

What is a pantone reference?

When we receive your artwork we will ask you for the pantone reference for the colours in your logo. A pantone or PMS reference in a universally recognised reference number for each colour. Virtually every shade of colour in the spectrum has a pantone reference, there are 1000’s! If you do not have a specific pantone reference it is a good idea to choose one for each colour in your logo and stick to it. This way you can quote it to every printer and your logo will always be exactly the same shade. We will be happy to match a colour as closely as possible for you and give you the reference if you would like us to.
